In honor of having reached over 200 followers and my favorite month of the year, I’ve planned this little virtual shindig I like to call The 30 Days of Holidays, or 30DoH for short. Basically, the idea is that I fulfill the request of a different follower (or at least, person) for 31 straight days, starting from December 9th to January 9th. The fact that I have school off for about this long helps too. Now since this is a special event, and my ask box is open for requests all the time anyway, I need to find a way to make it more special. So I’ll up the ante a little bit:
- I will do any request that you ask for. No limitations at all. That means that if I don’t know the fandom, I will research it, and I don’t have the excuse of “not feeling like it” to not do it. (But make sure you clarify what the fandoms are when you request.) Yes, that also means that I will do pairings I may not necessarily agree with. (Keep in mind though, that if you troll me I will troll back.) Or anything not having to do with fandoms. You could have me do political cartoons, or a sketch of you, for all I care.
- It’s be more than just a quick sketch, although I can’t guarantee that it’ll be uber-quality, all the time.
So, yeah. The only issue standing in my way is the fact that ideally, I’d answer the prompt of a different person each time, and that’s where you guys come in. You don’t have to be a follower to submit a request, and I’ll even take anonymous requests, but I do need at least 31 requests to make this plan work.
But that’s me asking a lot of relatively quiet followers, so what’s your incentive? (Aside from a nice piece of art in your name?) Well, since these are the holidays, and holidays are typically associated with gift-giving, I’ll merge this little project with something I’ve always wanted to do: a giveaway! If I actually get 31 un-anonymous prompts, or more (all of which will eventually be gotten to), I’ll randomly choose one of the people who submitted a prompt to receive a copy of the Fat Animal Stickers and some other little doodle in the mail! So letting other people know about this is in your favor. (Because if this project crashes and burns, which I fear it will I will cry sad tears and never attempt anything similar ever again). But, this prompts for more guidelines:
- Only one holiday request per person will count towards the random drawing.
- Obviously, you’ll have to be un-anon, and have your inbox must be open in January, so that I can request contact details from you.
- You don’t have to follow me, but I will be announcing the winners on Paper For Breakfast, on January the 10th, the same day that I’ll be contacting the winners via inbox, and from then on, they’ll have a week to contact me, or else I pull someone else’s name.
- If I have a randomly huge influx of requests that goes over 31 (ha, ha, not very likely), for every 30 extra requests, I’ll add in an extra person who gets stickers, up to a maximum of three people.
So there we go. Requests and a giveaway. Rules and regulations subject to change, seeing as how I’ve never done this. But lets cross our fingers and hope this goes right. But remember, more people requesting is in your favor, so feel free to reblog and tell your friends, if you’d like.
