31 Days of Holidays (and a Giveaway): We did it!

Thank you, wonderful people, for making my silly little holiday break fantastic!

Today, January 8, 2012, our 31 days of frivolous request-submitting and fulfilling have been completed. The goal was simply to reach a prompt a day, but we managed to go over that into a surprisingly magical 42 requests, which, for those of you who have read the Hitchhiker’s Guide, is quite understandably an outstanding achievement! None of this has blown up into my face and you’ve all left me feeling warm and fuzzy for the rest of the month. Now we can finally get to the Giveaway portion of the celebration - my thank you to the loyal guys, gals, and anyone inbetween who have played along with this little whim of mine.

Originally, the rules of the celebration went as follows: for each additional set of 30 requests after we reached the initial goal of 31, I would add an extra person to the giveaway. We only reached 42, but I was left so pleased with the response and general good-will of all of you in regards to 31 Days (and the fantastically creative and diverse requests), that I’ve decided that a one-person giveaway is just not enough. For this reason, I’m sending a set of Fat Animals Stickers to 5 randomly drawn people. These people are:

If you are one of the above people, if you would be so kind so as to drop your complete mailing address - including your name - into my ask box, the stickers will be on their way. I won’t do anything fishy with your addresses, I promise! If you’d like to forfeit your chance at stickers and offer them to someone else, you can feel free to do that, just jet me a message saying that. You have one week to get back to me with your address, basically before January 15, 11:59 PM PST, although the earlier the better. If I don’t get your address by then, I’ll pick the next random name to come up.

For the rest of you, I’m sorry, but better luck next time, because the way it’s going, I think that the 31 Days of Holidays (and a Giveway) with your help, is going to become an annual thing for paperforbreakfast.

Honestly, though, I love each and every one of the 42 of you very much and I wish you the very best this coming new year. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Hugs and kisses and all of those wonderful things. I won’t forget this.
